Orthofoto 2003 City of Zurich – Spring
Description
An orthophoto is an equalised photograph. The photos were produced with a pixel size of 12.5 cm.
**Purpose**:
With the orthophotos, many details at terrain height can be digitised and evaluated directly from photo, making it possible to significantly reduce elaborate field shots for many projects. In problem areas such as impact shadows or trees, the stereo model is also suitable for evaluations.
A combination with the data set of official surveying, or other digital data sets, further enhances the usefulness and information content of the orthophoto.
In order to keep the amount of data for larger sections as small as possible, additional reduced versions have been created.
