Description
The catchment areas of railway and metro stations in the Helsinki region via the light-traffic road network.
Impact area refers to the area surrounding the station from which there is a shorter distance along the road network to that station than to any other station. The catchment area can be seen as an area around the centre where the activities taking place, such as applying for services or connecting to a public transport network, are directed towards the centre.
All the train and metro stations in the Helsinki region and Siuntio are included, a total of 79 of them. The affected areas have been formed along the paths of pedestrian traffic, taking into account the obstacles created by the road network and the environment.
The coordinate system of the data is ETRS-GK25 (EPSG:3879).
