REDIAM. WMS Inventory of unique trees and groves of Andalusia
Description
WMS service corresponding to the Inventory carried out thanks to citizen participation, with the intention of providing geo-referenced information on the location and characterization of these particular specimens, to support their correct management. A tree is considered unique when it stands out from the rest of the specimens of its same species, either for adopting an unusual form, having an advanced age, having exceptional dimensions, acquiring a high landscape value, being located in unusual places for its species, for its history or popular traditions, or simply for its rarity. We speak of singular grove, when the singularity is presented in a group of trees that houses a large number of singular individuals; on other occasions, it is the harmonious set of trees that offers the character of singularity, and it may happen that the specimens that make it up lose some value when separating them from it.
