The number of migration movements (trains, detours, balance) of foreigners across the borders of the city of Bremen as a whole, by gender and nationality.The migration statistics are carried out uniformly for the entire federal territory. It extends to the migrations across the municipal and district borders within the federal territory (federal internal migration) as well as over the borders of the Federal territory (Federal Foreign Migration). The removals within the municipalities (local relocations) are not taken into account. A hike in the above sense means any entry into a main dwelling and any excerpt from a main dwelling (change of apartment). Accordingly, guests at accommodation sites, hospital occupants and visitors with relatives or acquaintances will only be recorded if their stay is longer in accordance with the reporting obligation. The conscriptions and dismissals of conscripts are not considered migrations.Also, no registration or deregistration takes place in the event of execution of criminal or pre-trial detention and custody, insofar as another dwelling is available in the area of the Reporting Law Framework Act (MRRG), as is also the case for persons in police custody.Foreigners (non-Germans) are all persons with exclusively foreign or unexplained nationality and stateless persons residing in the area concerned. The non-German refugees present, who have the status of a homeless foreigner or foreign refugee, are among the foreigners. Persons who are treated as persons with German nationality under the Basic Law (Article 116(1)), e.g. displaced persons and refugees of German nationality, count as Germans. Persons who have a further nationality in addition to the German are also considered Germans. The count did not include the members of foreign stationing forces as well as the foreign diplomatic and consular missions and their family members.The Bremen Statistical Office is responsible for the official statistics of the State of Bremen. Central tasks are the collection, preparation, evaluation and publication of the statistics ordered by law or regulation. At the same time, the Bremen Statistical Office fulfils the functions of the Municipal Statistical Office for the City of Bremen. This means that data and information will also be prepared and made accessible for the small-scale administrative and planning units of the city.
