Citizenship Election (Landtag)
Description
The number of eligible voters, the voter turnout in %, the number of invalid ballot papers and the number of valid votes for selected parties (SPD, CDU, FDP, GRÜNE, Die Linke, DVU, NPD, REP, AFB, BIW and others). Allowed to vote for citizenship (Landtag) are all Germans within the meaning of Article 116(1) of the Basic Law (GG), who have reached the age of 16 on election day, 22 May 2011 (last date of birth: 22 May 1995), for at least 3 months, i.e. no later than 22 February 2011, hold an apartment in the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen (Land Bremen) or, if they do not have an apartment in the Federal Republic of Germany, normally reside in the Federal Republic of Germany, are not excluded under § 2 of the Bremen Electoral Act (BremWahlG).The Statistische Landesamt Bremen is the bearer of the official statistics of the Land of Bremen. Central tasks are the collection, preparation, evaluation and publication of the statistics ordered by law or regulation. At the same time, the Bremen Statistical Office fulfils the functions of the Municipal Statistical Office for the City of Bremen. This means that data and information will also be prepared and made accessible for the small-scale administrative and planning units of the city.
