Federal elections (second votes)
Description
The number of eligible voters, voters, valid second votes and valid second votes, which were attributable to selected parties (SPD, CDU, FDP, GRÜNE, DIE LINKE, NPD, REP and others). Allowed to vote are all Germans who have reached the age of 18 on election day, have resided in the Federal Republic of Germany for at least three months, or otherwise reside in the Federal Republic of Germany, are not excluded from the right to vote, live in areas outside the electoral area, if, in addition to the requirements under a) and c), they still meet certain other conditions. In particular, the right to vote arises from § 12 BWG.The result of the second votes is decisive for the distribution of seats. Only those who have received at least 5 % of the second votes in the electoral territory (Federal Republic of Germany) or in at least three constituencies (block clause).The first votes serve the direct election of a candidate in the constituency (major election). The direct mandates acquired by a party are counted against the list mandates. If a party wins more direct mandates than it has after the second vote, it retains these mandates (overhang mandates). The Bremen Statistical Office is responsible for the official statistics of the State of Bremen. Central tasks are the collection, preparation, evaluation and publication of the statistics ordered by law or regulation. At the same time, the Bremen Statistical Office fulfils the functions of the Municipal Statistical Office for the City of Bremen. This means that data and information will also be prepared and made accessible for the small-scale administrative and planning units of the city.
