Population by age group and length of residence
Description
The population of the city of Bremen is presented as a whole and by age groups (5 age groups), length of residence at the address (years, divided into 10 classes) and average length of residence (years). The population also includes registered foreigners (including stateless persons). The population does not include members of stationing forces as well as foreign diplomatic and consular missions with their family members. The source is the update of the population of official statistics agreed between the Länder. The population recorded in the context of the 1987 census is updated annually on the basis of births and deaths as well as the additions and continuations. The distribution of the population below the city level (city districts, districts, districts) is covered by the population registration register of the city of Bremen.The duration of residence at the address is calculated on the basis of data from the inhabitants registration register of the city of Bremen. It is presented in ten classes of different classes.The average duration of residence is calculated on the basis of data from the City of Bremen’s Resident Registration Register. It is derived from the arithmetic average of the duration of residence in years of the respective population group.The Bremen Statistical Office is responsible for official statistics of the State of Bremen. Central tasks are the collection, preparation, evaluation and publication of the statistics ordered by law or regulation. At the same time, the Bremen Statistical Office fulfils the functions of the Municipal Statistical Office for the City of Bremen. This means that data and information will also be prepared and made accessible for the small-scale administrative and planning units of the city.
