Master data (task, inventory, opening hours and address) of over 20 libraries in the federal state of Bremen (Bremen and Bremerhaven)In Bremen, more than 20 libraries have joined together in the federal association of the German Library Association (BDV). In addition to the two city libraries in Bremen and Bremerhaven, these include the State and University Library, the Citizenship Library, the Chamber of Commerce and a number of research institutes. On the web pages of the Landesverband www.dbv-bremen.de/ you will be informed about current events and publications from the federal and state associations. A list of members contains information on the individual libraries, which were also summarised in a flyer in October 2011. All these data are static, i.e. master data, which are regularly updated on the web page, but do not allow individual queries in connection with other information. Thus, neither an answer to the question of which library opened on Saturdays, or to a request with a mobile device during a visit to Bremen, whether there is a just opened library. The record for each library contains the name, a brief description of the purpose, tasks or purpose, a brief description of the inventory, details of opening hours, address and contact details. The opening hours are recorded for each day with start and end in separate data fields, as well as the address separated with street name and house number, so that local and temporal localisation via apps for mobile devices is possible.
