Leaf cut triangulation sheet

Description

The meridian strips are divided into so-called triangulation sheets by longitudinal and transverse strips. Each meridian strip is divided into 15 longitudinal strips of 10 000 m width on both sides of the reference meridian. The longitudinal stripes in the west are consecutively referred to as the numbers 01 to 90. The longitudinal strips 01 to 08 and 83 to 90 are entirely outside the state territory. The transverse stripes are divided from the equator into each 10 000 m width, with the number 01 continuously denoted starting to the north. The data sets together comprise 1048 triangulation sheets. The southernmost transverse strip is the 514th, which, after omission of number 5, is the name 14, the northernmost transverse strip of the 544., which is named 44. The triangulation sheet is characterised by leaf sections of a four-digit number, which is created by the juxtaposition of the corresponding longitudinal and cross stripe numbers. The triangulation sheets form the basis for the classification and designation of folder sheets 1:1 000, 1:2 000 and 1:5 000.
