Bibliographic Citations of Quagga Mussel and Zebra Mussel Literature
Description
Through an interagency agreement, University of Nevada Las Vegas developed two bibliographies related to Lake Mead NRA water resources. The first bibliography (corresponding to this record in the NRInfo Portal) contains references to published research on quagga mussels. This bibliography currently exists in a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet format and as a PDF, and contains approximately 425 records. This bibliography was developed in 2007 on behalf of a regional interagency team interested in quagga mussel management at the time when the quagga mussel infestation in Lake Mead was new. The references contained within it, in the vast majority, are not specific to Lake Mead or the Lake Mead area, but are reports on quagga mussel impacts and ecosystem effects seen in other parts of the country previously infested with quagga mussels.
