Direct reimbursements of Kela’s health insurance 2011-2014
Description
Health insurance supports the use of private health care services with over EUR 250 million annually. The Finnish Broadcasting Company’s MOT programme commissioned Kela’s database of the direct reimbursement system for medical insurance to private medical centres. The file shows which company’s turnover will be paid to the patient’s private medical care Kela reimbursement. The file covers the years 2011-2014, during which Kela paid a total of EUR 863 million to companies through its direct compensation scheme. The money is mainly collected as non-payments of wages and pensions.
