Description
The base map of the city plan, i.e. the base map, covers the entire territory of Vantaa as vector-shaped data. In addition to the land register map, the base map is the most accurate terrain map. Its data content includes buildings and structures, traffic routes with their structures, different land areas, water areas, altitude data, overhead connections and naming. The map is maintained for the entire area of the city (240 km²) according to 1:500 survey accuracy requirements (site location accuracy is ± 20 cm).
Timeliness of data: the new buildings and their structures will be stored within two weeks of the completion of the inspection of the location of the building. The location review is carried out at the request of the builder when the foundation of the building has been established, at the latest before the final inspection of the building. Demolished buildings will be removed from the map as soon as information about the demolition event is obtained.
The delay in updating other data varies from a few weeks to years. A comprehensive update will be carried out in a given area after the mapping aerial photography and when a town plan or change is started.

Freely available via the WMS service, without building boundaries, which, on the other hand, require a separate agreement.
