Destination plans in force in Arnhem

From 2001 onwards, the municipality of Arnhem (almost) makes all its spatial plans digitally at the source. This means that the paper version is a derivative of the digital source. As of 1 January 2010, the digital publication of spatial plans is even required by law. From that date, all Arnhem plans can be found in the national facility www.ruimtelijkeplannen.nl. In addition, a total overview of all digital plans has always been available to everyone via systems of the municipality of Arnhem itself. Because national standards have appeared in the course of time, part of the Arnhem digital plans from before standardization, and part of the plans after. That is why the Arnhem digital zoning plans are divided into two datasets. The layer names contain respectively 00 (old) and 08 (new, from mid-2008). The new set consists of 9 layers according to the Information Model Spatial Planning (IMRO) 2008 or 2012. The structure of this is described in Figure 2 on page 8 of the 'Practical Directive on zoning plans' (PRBP2012), available at Geonovum The attributes are largely the same as the objects described in the practical directive. The set from before 2008 (layer name contains 00) consists of seven layers that are partly similar to the objects as described in the PRBP2012. The layers contain zoning plans that have been manually converted from a drawing package to a Geographic Information System (GIS), and data according to older standards (IMRO2003, IMRO2006). The 'Destination Main Group' attribute from IMRO2012 has been added to the Single and Double Destination layers. In this, the old analogue destinations have been translated as much as possible into the current main groups, in order to make imagination of both sets of zoning plans equal. For example, by applying the colors from the Standard Similar Destination Plans (SVBP2012).

Together, the layers with 00 and 08 form a complete overview of the plans that are available digitally at the municipality of Arnhem. In addition, there are a limited number of plans that have not been digitized.
