Nomenclature of fisheries and aquaculture products (NPA)
Description
Each type of products and services obtained as a result of the extraction of aquatic bioresources is classified as a separate type of product in accordance with the biological properties and peculiarities of their use, the specifics of the services provided.
Implementation of NPA provides:
systematization and grouping (generalization) of fisheries and aquaculture products and services;
conducting conjuncture observations, continuous and thematic censuses in agriculture and fisheries;
carrying out accounting, analysis and preparation for publication of statistical data on fisheries at different levels of detail;
calculations on the consumption of fish and fish products by the population, the balance of demand and supply of fish and fish products, calculations of other indicators, in particular, according to the institutional sectors of the economy in accordance with the methodology of the system of national accounts (SNA).
