Conversion areas of the city of Osnabrück
Description
Conversion stands for an extensive urban development process in Osnabrück, which resulted from the withdrawal of the British forces from 2006 onwards. Conversion means change — here the conversion of former barracks into new city quarters.
In the urban area of Osnabrück there are a total of six former barracks with a total area of about 160 hectares. In addition, there were about 1350 residential properties spread over several residential areas in three districts, as well as two school plots and a sports field area.
