Lower water authorities of Lower Saxony

Areas of responsibility of Lower Water Authorities in Lower Saxony. At the municipal level, there is the establishment of the Lower Water Authorities (UWB). As a rule, there is one UWB per county/district-free city. However, some larger cities in certain districts have their own water authority (e.g. the cities of Göttingen, Hameln, Hildesheim, Goslar and Celle). There are currently 54 UWBin Lower Saxony. The competence can be derived from the municipal boundaries.
