Description
The map shows in which areas small, moderate, high or no changes in meteorological parameters occur compared to the surrounding area.
Essentially, these climatic changes are due to the level of sealing, the building density and the proportion of greenery. These factors have an impact on:
- aeration (increased surface roughness),
- the air temperature (waste heat from buildings, transport, industry),
- humidity (reduced evapotransporation due to lack of greenery, rapid surface run-off into sewers).
The representations in the map, in particular the demarcations of the individual zones, are not parcel-sharp, as the contents cannot be attached to boundary lines. They include tolerances between 50 m and 100 m.
