Map of natural erosion hazards of soils by water (KSR map)
Description
The KSR map for natural erosion hazards due to water is based on the “General soil removal equation” (ABAG; see DIN 19708). The map describes the natural sensitivity of the site to water erosion. The derivation is carried out by multiplying the K-factor (erosion susceptibility of the upper soil, in particular depending on the type of soil), the S-factor (pitch inclination) and the R-factor (erosion efficacy of precipitation; long-term means). Linear erosion forms (erosion channels, etc.) are not included in the evaluation. Soil removal shall be expressed in tonnes per hectare per year.
The KSR card for the erosion hazard is available throughout Thuringia in the 5 x 5 m grid (Grid).
