Administrative regions 1:250,000 with population - 31.12.
Description
This dataset provides the administrative regions 1:250 000 (VG250) as at 31.12. for the territory of the Federal Republic of Germany.
The database of administrative regions (AG) comprises the administrative units of all hierarchical administrative levels from the state to the municipalities with the respective administrative boundaries, statistical key figures, the names of the administrative units and the specific designations of the administrative levels.
The data are broken down by state, provinces, administrative districts, districts, administrative communities and municipalities. In addition, the data set is accompanied by official additional names, names of national minorities or regional language names, as well as overviews of the administrative allocation and administrative units.
The product VG250-EW contains population figures and cadastral areas. Since the official population figures are only published in the autumn of the following year, the current status of the product can only be obtained after this date. If necessary, provisional population figures are available on the website of the Federal Statistical Office.
The geometry of the limits is aligned with the ATKIS®-DLM250 in terms of accuracy and resolution.
With the status 31.12. the connection to the federal statistics is possible.
