Protected areas aquatic species: molluscs PHC 2022-2027

Description

Protected areas declared for the protection of economically significant aquatic species: It comes from the repealed Directive 2006/113/EC on the quality required of shellfish waters. This version of protected areas corresponds to the version included in the management plans for the third planning cycle (2022-2027). The dataset is the result of the integration of the information provided by the river basin bodies resulting from the work of the third hydrological planning cycle RBMP 2022-2027, in response to Article 13 of the Water Framework Directive. The structure of the reported data is as specified by the Water Framework Directive reporting guides, which can be found at https://cdr.eionet.europa.eu/help/WFD/WFD_780_2022. This information fulfils the obligations of Article 13 of Directive 2000/60/EC and is therefore included in the list of sets of "high-value data" as water environmental data, as indicated in Regulation 2023/138 of 21 December 2022 establishing a list of specific high-value data sets and modalities for publication and re-use, in the framework of Directive 2019/1024 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 June 2019 on open data and the re-use of public sector information.
