Bohunice NPP New construction
Description
The Slovak Republic plans to build new nuclear production capacities: An additional 1-2 pressurised water reactors with an electrical capacity of up to 2,400 MW are planned at the existing Jaslovské Bohunice NPP site. Two reactors are currently in operation at the Bohunice site (Bohunice V-2). The project is sponsored by JESS (Jadrová energetická spo-ločnosť Slovenska) – a joint venture formed in 2009 to build the new nuclear plant in Bohunice.
