Description
The map service represents the digital spatial data from the field of nature conservation of the Saarland.: The Saarland-Rhineland-Palatinate Nature Park Saar-Hunsrück covers an area of 1 976 square kilometres over the two federal states. This feature shows the Saarland part. Nature parks are man-made landscapes. They have been used for many years, so they are influenced by human action. The aim of the Natural Park is to reconcile the protection and use of the landscape (“protection through use”). The aim is to promote sustainable, gentle land use and sustainable recreational tourism in the area. In addition, nature parks should consist mainly of nature conservation or landscape conservation areas and possess a wide variety of species and biotopes.
