Water erosion hazard – soil removal (t/ha/a) Water erosion (RxKxS)
Description
The dataset contains data from the LBGR on soil removal (t/ha/a) by water erosion (RxKxS) in the state of Brandenburg and is provided via a representation and download service. The data set Soil Ablation shows the spatial distribution of the potential soil removal by water on the agricultural land of Brandenburg. The determination was based on DIN19708 (https://dx.doi.org/10.31030/2676773), the underlying method of which is referred to as the General Soil Abrasion Equation (ABAG). The soil removal is shown in a spatial resolution of 5x5 meters. The potential soil removal by water, also referred to as natural soil removal, is derived from the combination of the rain erosivity factor R, soil erosion factor K and slope inclination factor S. The removal is indicated in unit t/ha/a.
