Invasive Alien Species reporting under EU Regulation 1143/2014, 2015-2018

Description

This metadata refers to the information and data related to the first reporting under the EU Regulation 1143/2014 on invasive alien species (IAS). The data contains the reported spatial gridded distribution information for IAS of Union concern (10 km grid cells) from 24 Member States and United Kingdom. Three Member States (Greece, Romania and Portugal) did not deliver spatial data in the agreed format. The data contains information on Invasive Alien Species (IAS) of Union concern included in the relevant Union List and on Invasive Alien Species of Member State concern. The provision of information on spatial distribution of IAS of Member State concern was optional. All Member States are requested by EU Regulation 1143/2014 to report every 6 years on the IAS of Union, of regional and of Member State concern and to provide information on cross-cutting issues of the implementation of the Regulation.
