Higher plants 1627-2015 (grid representation)
Description
The database for the distribution of higher plants in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is maintained and managed by the Botanical Institute of the University of Greifswald. It is part of the floristic database, which also includes mosses, mushrooms, lichens and large algae (http://www.flora-mv.de, contact: Dr. Florian Jansen).
A database extract in the form of an interface file for MultiBaseCS was handed over to the LUNG in March 2015.
The available data was derived from the point data on higher plants, including the point data related to measuring table sheets. The find points are presented as an aggregation of year, type and MTBQ grid.
The current excerpt from the Database of Higher Plants brings together find points of the following origin:
— Data entered in the online @-@ portal (approx. 30.000 records)
— Historical evidence (literature, Herbar, index maps of the University of Greifswald) (approx. 130.000 records)
— Data collected as raster data [e.g. mapping for the distribution atlas of fern and flowering plants in East Germany ¶ (ed. Benkert, Fukarek & Korsch 1996)]].. (approx. 450.000 datasets)
Taxonomy: The interface between the pile. Database and MultiBaseCS takes into account all in the Flor. Database of taxonomic species designations and transfers them to the species reference of MultiBaseCS.
It is not a systematic, complete survey of the entire territory of the country. Rather, data from various projects and volunteer work were collected. For areas without find points, therefore, a missing occurrence of the species cannot be assumed automatically. If appropriate habitats or habitat structures exist, studies on the possible occurrence of the species(s) must be carried out within the framework of permits and authorisations.
