Track section

Description

The track section is used to monitor the availability of the track. The track section indicates the position of the train on a specific part of the line. The information on the availability/reservation of the track section is used as information on the control of the interlocking device, the protection system and the operation of the warning facilities. The track section may be a track circuit (several types of track circuits) or an axle calculation section. The location, commissioning date, service category and identifier of the track section shall be reported. The data cover railways owned by the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency. The data source system is the Track Object Management Application (RATKO) of the Track Infrastructure Information Management System.
