Description
The data set contains information from the soil mapping work of the Free State of Saxony (basis Digitale Bodenkarte 1:50.000). Mapping/legend units depicting representative lead soil forms (a combination of soil type and substrate type) in their spatial distribution are presented. These also contain information on the usable field capacity in the potential root space. Each mapping/legend unit is backed by a guide profile that contains information on the individual soil layers/horizons. These include upper and lower boundary of the layer/horizon, horizon designation and soil type. The soil types were laboratory-analytically validated.
