Statistical Codes for Municipalities and Communities of Cyprus (LAU2)
Description
The statistical codes of municipalities are a system of four-digit code numbers. The first digit represents the administrative province (1 to 6).
For the names of the municipalities of Cyprus, the text was used as prepared by the Standing Committee for the Standardisation of Geographical Names in Greek and then their transcription into the Roman alphabet.
Both codes and names are compatible with LAU2 (Local Administrative Units compatible with NUTS).
