Objective sub-regional plan Basic functional priorities of the Lausitz-Spreewald region

Description

At its 55th meeting on 17 June 2021, the Regional Assembly of the Lausitz-Spreewald Regional Planning Community adopted the substantive sub-regional plan ‘Basic Functional Priorities’ as its statutes. By decision of 28 October 2021, the sub-regional plan was approved by the Joint Land Planning Department of the Länder Berlin-Brandenburg. The approval was published on 22. 31 December 2021 in the Official Journal of Brandenburg (OJ No 50). The factual sub-regional plan ‘Basic functional priorities’ sets out the basic functional priorities in the Lausitz-Spreewald region in terms of text and drawings. The Lausitz-Spreewald region consists of the administrative districts of Oberspreewald-Lausitz, Dahme-Spreewald, Elbe-Elster and Spree-Neiße and the independent city of Cottbus/Chóśebuz in accordance with Section 3(2)(4) of the Act on Regional Planning and Lignite and Renovation Planning (RegBkPlG). Basic functional focal points are the most functional districts of suitable municipalities. Only one basic functional focus per municipality may be defined. As a result of the legal validity of the objective sub-regional plan, the districts defined as GSP receive the extended possibilities for the development of residential areas and for the development of large-scale retail trade provided for in the Landesentwicklungsplan Hauptstadtregion Berlin-Brandenburg (LEP HR).
