Zoning National Park Nds. Wadden
Description
(1) The national park is divided into three zones identified in the map set out in Section 3(1):
1. Rest zone (zone I) - red,
2. Intermediate zone (Zone II) - green,
3. Recreation zone (zone III) - yellow.
In the maps in Annexes 2 and 3, the individual areas of Zone I are identified by numbers with Arabic numerals.
(2) Unless otherwise provided for in subsections (3) and (4), the map set referred to in section 3 (1) shall be decisive for the delimitation of the zones between each other.
(3) The areas of the rest zone are described in Appendix 1. 2The following shall apply to the delimitation of rest areas:
1. Invariant boundary points are determined by geographical coordinates.
2. The map is decisive for the course of the boundaries of the rest zone marked as fixed in the map set referred to in § 3(1) with a solid line.
3. The course of the boundaries of the rest zone marked as variable in the map set referred to in § 3(1) by an interrupted line is described by the information contained in Annex 1 - at sea in conjunction with the official sea chart in force at the time. If a boundary of the rest zone is formed by the outside of a plate or sand, the nautical chart zero line shall prevail; if the boundary of the rest zone is formed by a Priel, a Balje or a Gat, the nautical chart zero line on the side facing the rest zone shall prevail. If the boundary is formed by tons, a dune foot or other natural or artificial points of interest recognizable on site, their location shall be decisive.
(4) The seaward boundary of the recreation zone is formed by the middle flood line, provided that Annex 3 designates areas not lower than this as a recreation zone. 2In this case, the seaward boundary marked by a solid line is formed by a line formed by means of coordinates; the lateral boundary there results from the straight line between marker piles which, in accordance with the requirements of Appendix 3, are located at the middle flood line and above this line. 3For the rest, the delimitation of lower lying areas of the recreation zone follows from the description in Annex 3.
