The map shows the average annual climate water balance (in mm) for the 30-year period 1991-2020.
This indicator provides in the first approximation a measure of regional water availability and indicates whether the vegetation in an area may be affected by water shortages. The climatic water balance is calculated from the difference in rainfall and potential evaporation.
