Traffic Measuring Stations Traffic Counting Canton Schaffhausen
Description
Traffic measurements (including traffic censuses) are used to determine the number of vehicles passing a road cross-section over a certain period of time. Traffic measuring stations can be operated permanently or periodically. Depending on the equipment or detection technology (e.g. Radar, detection loops) can be distinguished up to ten different vehicle classes. The data collected is the basis for operational and strategic transport planning.
