Brandy geese: Max. moult population per year in the national park "Schleswig-Holsteinisches Wattenmeer" (LKN.SH - NPV)

Description

This service-related database for a WFS download service provides the occurrence and the number of individuals of the maximum mouse population for fire geese from 2010. Fire geese are unable to fly for a few weeks during the moulting period in summer and are therefore particularly susceptible to interference. Therefore, at this time (in the months of July - September) the goose monitoring takes place with 3 comprehensive survey flights in the Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea (and adjacent areas) and provides information on the spatial and temporal distribution of the goose. The importance and change of the most important moulting areas can be estimated and evaluated with regard to potential sources of interference. In addition, a distinction can be made in the data between flightable and non-flightable geese. For the data of the Max. Mauser population, of the 3 survey flights carried out, only the flight of a year in which the highest number of fire geese was sighted is shown. These data are used for the stock estimation of the fire geese, but cannot show the variability of the occurrence throughout the summer. The data of the maximum mouse population per year (just monitoring years from 2010) are generated from the basic table of the Brandgans monitoring (ID:B9893F45-BB67-41BE-BC0E-2971785E7E66). The data described here can be retrieved via the associated service "(WFS) Geese" (Object ID:B837BEA3-DAA2-448D-946C-3B75255CBB14). In addition, the individual annual layers of the maximum mouse population are offered as a WMS display service (object ID: 81433B3F-C461-437A-AA2B-987A963D6767).
