Description
With the updated guideline, the Federal Environment Agency supports project applicants, planners and experts in the preparation and processing of environmental impact statements (EIAs). It contains an overview of the Environmental Impact Assessment Act (EIA-G 2000) and provides practical assistance for the selection and specification of the contents of an EIA. For better comprehensibility, the instructions are supplemented with practical examples. In addition to amended legal provisions, the revision also took into account the practical experience of the experts from the competent authorities and the Federal Environment Agency. The environmental impact statement is an elementary part of the procedure under the Federal Environmental Impact Assessment Act 2000 (Federal Law Gazette No 697/1993 as amended by Federal Law Gazette I No 2/2008).
