3D-models of the loose rock in Lower Saxony – Thülsfeld
Description
Based on the data from the drilling database Niedersachsen (http://www.lbeg.niedersachsen.de/karten_daten_publikationen/bohrdatenbank/bohrdatenbank-niedersachsen-647.html), the hydrogeological 3D model Thülsfeld was created at the State Office for Mining, Energy and Geology (LBEG) and using all other available input data such as geophysical data and existing 3D models, e.g. from water suppliers. In total, the model depicts the subsurface in 25 geological units until the Oligocene. The layer sequence includes Old Pleistocene units, the deposits of the Elster, Saale and Vistula cold periods to the most recent deposits of the Holocene as well as deposits of the Eem and Holstein warm periods (Table 1).
