Wuppertal ATOM Feed Solar Potential Roofs 2010
Description
The ATOM Feed Download Service for the Solar Potential of Wuppertal’s rooftops 2010 provides a dataset for download, which contains photogrammetrically specific roof sections from the urban sealing data information system Verdis with indication of the area size (attribute “AREA”) and the solar potential (attribute “MEDIAN”). The data set was generated by a cross-section of the roof sections with a comprehensive calculation of the solar radiation. The calculation of solar radiation in 0.5 m x 0.5 m grid cells was carried out at the beginning of 2010 by the Innsbruck-based company LaserData GmbH on behalf of the city of Wuppertal. The global radiation value and shades were taken into account. 3D result data from laser scanner flights in 12/2008 and 01/2009 were used as a surface model for this simulation. The reference date of the dataset is therefore 01/2009.
The roof surfaces of buildings built later are therefore not included in the database.
The solar potential is indicated for each roof sub-area as the mean energy density of the solar radiation in kWh per square meter per year.
The median is used as an average of the annual potential values of all grid cells, which are at least proportionally in the respective roof area, extrapolated to 1 square metre.
The publication of the data set in the Wuppertal Environmental and Geodata Portal took place on 27 April 2010.
The files in the ESRI-Shapefile, KML and GeoJSON formats accessed by the download service are provided by the City of Wuppertal as Open Data under the CC BY 4.0 license.
