Simplified Surroundings Association Area KRZN

Description

This data set contains the simplified surrounds and the minimally surrounding rectangles (bounding box) around the area of the Zweckverband Kommunales Rechenzentrum Niederrhein (KRZN). Since different applications require different extensions of the association area, this is available in three different forms, each of which is distinguished by the number of contained districts or district-free cities: "_4": Kleve district, Viersen district, Wesel district and Krefeld city "_5": Kleve district, Viersen district, Wesel district, Krefeld city and Bottrop city "_6": Kreis Kleve, Kreis Viersen, Kreis Wesel, Stadt Krefeld, Stadt Bottrop and Kreis Mettmann The basis is the municipal boundaries of the association. Since the underlying data has a very high level of detail, and the point set is too high for many other applications, the data is generalized (simplified) via a Douglas-Peucker filter with a tolerance of 20m and then output as an OGC WKT string in text files. This text file is available in both EPSG:4326 (WGS 84) and EPSG:25832 (UTM-32N on ETRS).
