Workplace accessibility by car 2014
Description
Workplace accessibility in the Turku city region by car via the road and street network. Accessibility is calculated as an exponential distance function from the average travel time weighted by the number of jobs. The analysis was carried out by utilising the Digiroad 2013 road network and the grid data of 2011 from the urban structure monitoring system (YKR). Road network data has been used to make use of speed limits per bus type, and the number of jobs has been searched from the grid data. Preparations for departure and a 3-minute resistance that takes into account the search for a parking space have been added to the travel time.
