SE.OF Oceanographic observations — wave direction, at tp energymax
Description
Purpose: Observe the direction of ocean waves and improve wave models.
Assimilation and validation of models.
Unit: Seconds to 2 decimals.
Characteristics: Wave direction is defined as the direction of the waves.
The mean wave direction is the mean value of the direction of the waves for 30 minutes. The measurement is made from buoys and with bottom-placed instruments near the coast and at sea.
Design: Date, time, value, quality and depth of measurement.
Quality codes: Green (G) = Verified and accepted values. Yellow (Y) = Coarsely controlled values, suspicious or aggregated values. Orange (O) = Uncontrolled values

Delivery: Data is delivered in two different ways
1. Via a user interface where measurement series can be downloaded for one station at a time
Data can be downloaded for the last hour, last day or full time series except the last day(historical reviewed)
2. Via a machine-machine solution (Atom flow rate). Where the same series of measurements as above can be obtained
and also real-time data. These are the last hour’s readings. They can be retrieved for a measuring station
at a time or for all active measuring stations.
