Collective health care in the living and working environment
Description
The Provincial Health Plan, in accordance with the provisions of national legislation, provides for the essential level of "collective health care in a living and working environment".
The aim of the level is to promote the health of the population as a whole by ensuring the following benefits:
Prophylaxis of infectious and parasitic diseases;
Protection of the community and individuals from risks related to living environments, also with reference to the health effects of environmental pollutants;
Protection of the community and individuals from accidents and health risks associated with the workplace;
Veterinary public health;
Hygiene and health protection of food;
Medical and legal activities.
Individual prevention interventions are excluded from this level, except for vaccinations organized in programs that aim to increase the immune defenses of the population (such as those included in the National Vaccines Plan) and for cancer screenings, when they are organized in population programs.
