Dance Flying (Diptera: Empididae) from sources in the Gesäuse National Park (Austria)

Description

Lauterbornia 63: 77-82. As part of source investigations in the Austrian Gesäuse National Park, six dance flying species were sheared. The yield contains the male of a new species found near a small rheocrene. The species, Hemerodromia strobli spec. nov., is characterised by a unique genital morphology and is taxonomically not close to any of the species groups known to date from Europe.
