Space heating demand model (historical 2022) NRW
Description
This dataset has been replaced by the dataset "Data municipal heat planning". The data is further offered as "historical" data. The space heating demand was determined for the first time in the course of the potential study Renewable Energies NRW Part 4 - Geothermal Energy. This is a demand calculated on a model basis and under conservative assumptions. On average, this tends to be higher than the actual heat consumption. The data are available at building level and per road section (heat lines). The heat demand of the residential buildings was determined on the basis of the building floor area and height. In addition, assumptions on the year of construction of the buildings were made from data from the census and taken into account in a recalculation in 2016. By revision in 2020, the model could be significantly improved again. In addition to the space heating requirement, the demand for hot water is also included in the model at a flat rate of 15 kWh per square metre. The space heating demand of non-residential buildings was determined on the basis of the use, height and floor area of the building. Process heat requirements were not taken into account here. There may be confusion in the classification of residential and non-residential buildings due to mixed uses. The dataset is based on the ALKIS building stock as at 03/2019. The attributes are explained in more detail in the respective documentation (Hausumringe.pdf/Waermeliniedichte.pdf). The dataset is updated if necessary, without a specific cycle being planned.
