Medium-scale agricultural site mapping 1:100000
Description
The medium-scale agricultural site mapping includes soil history data on the natural site characteristics important for the growth of crops (water and nutrient balance, soil outlet substrate...). It was used as a comprehensive map of the entire agricultural area in the scales 1:25.000 (working cards) and 1: 100000 (overview maps).
The mapping units were created in three material data levels with an increasing aggregation level (StR->StT->StG) of soil and site histories:
1. Location group (StG): Summary unit of the StT according to main differences in the substrate and water conditions of the soil cover.
2. Location type (StT): Summary of the StR according to characteristic substrate and soil water conditions and/or soil forms.
3. Location regional type (StR): Unit with soil shape inventory (pedogenetic and substrate ratios), soil water and relief features.
Extensive primary data for the characterisation of surfaces including interpretable parameters are available in the form of documentation sheets A.
Available spatial data were digitised from the overview map work. On this basis, thematic evaluations were carried out in an overview scale of 1:100.000.
