Acid buffer capacity KAKeff (Forest) 1:25.000
Description
The analysis map “Acid buffer capacity KAKeff (Forst) 1:25.000” shows the average acid buffer capacity at effective cation exchange capacity for each forest-differentiated legend units of the overview soil map 1:25.000 (ÜBK25). The calculation is based on “Ministry of the Environment Baden-Württemberg (1995): Assessment of soils according to their performance, Guidelines for planning and permit procedures, Air, Soil, Waste”, issue 31, p. 25, Annex 4, classified according to Krapp (2006) (unpublished).
Each soil horizon is assigned to a horizontal group (surface, topsoil, subsoil and subsoil) according to “LABO Federation/Länder Working Group Soil Protection, Background Values for Inorganic and Organic Substances in Soil (2017)”. If necessary, an evaluation of the characteristic values at the horizontal group level is possible. The evaluation map provides indications of sites at risk of acidification, where measures to improve the base stock may be useful.
