Description
The occurrence of 52 indicator species and species, which are highly endangered in the cantonal area due to their rarity and therefore deserve protection, was investigated (52 of the approximately 140 breeding bird species occurring in the Aargau). Over 100 volunteers mapped in the period from 1985 to 1989 in all communities according to the area mapping method. The surveys are limited to the open corridor without forest areas and contiguous settlement areas. In addition, the most valuable biotopes and landscape features for the existence of the recorded bird species were recorded.
