Description
Description of the INSPIRE Download Service (predefined Atom): Related areas suspected of erosion (40 ha) with partly recognisable erosion events are referred to as priority areas of current soil erosion. The implementation of erosion-reducing measures is a top priority here. Within the framework of municipal landscape planning, the areas suspected of erosion must be further specified spatially. Erosion-reducing measures must primarily be carried out in priority areas of current soil erosion used for arable farming. The scope and nature of the measures must be adapted to the respective problem situation on the ground and the operational structures. Measures aimed at reducing soil erosion by water must always improve and maintain the soil structure and thus the water absorption capacity of the soil. This includes measures such as leaving crop residues on the arable surface, expanding crop rotation and soil-friendly processing methods. At the same time, the erosion-effective slope length can be reduced by slope-parallel linear structures, so that the creation of grassland strips or hedges are also central measures for soil protection. In the case of highly erosion-prone soils, the conversion of arable land into permanent grassland may be required as the most effective erosion protection.
