G3Dv2_0801, drilling with Westphalian base
Description
These are the observations by the base of the Westphalian, as defined in the Geological 3D model of the Flemish subsurface. These observations are usually boreholes, sometimes also probes. The layer contains per bore the depth of the base of the unit in meters relative to the start of the bore. The Roerdalslenk was modelled on the basis of seismic data, correlated with 1 bore. The Geological 3D model was drawn up in the framework of the management agreement of the Flemish government with VITO, under the name VLAKO, on behalf of the department LNE - Department of Land and Soil Protection, Subsurface, Natural Resources.
