WMS Ground Monuments Hamburg

Description

Web Map Service (WMS) of the mapping of known and published soil monuments in the field of FHH. Selection criterion: 1.) Entry in the list of monuments of the FHH; 2.) Objects are visible above ground and recognizable as monuments. Mapping of known archaeological protected areas - monuments - of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg in accordance with the Hamburg Monument Protection Act of 5 April 2013 and - cultural monuments - of the Harburg district in accordance with the Lower Saxony Monument Protection Act of 26 May 2011. Legal protection does not depend on mapping or listing. The number of protected areas actually available is higher. Objects or areas that are not included in the mapping or list are also protected if they meet the criteria laid down in Section 4(5) of the HmbDSchG for the territory of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg and the criteria laid down in Section 3(4) to (5) of the NDSchG for the territory of Lower Saxony. In accordance with Paragraphs 9(1) and 14(1) to (2) of the HmbDSchG, all projects in the territory of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg require the early involvement of the Land Conservation Authority or, in accordance with Paragraphs 10(1), 12(1), 13(1) and 24(1) to (3) of the NDSchG, the Lower Monument Protection Authority of the Harburg district or the cities of Winsen (Luhe) and Buchholz in the Nordheide region. Important note: Monument protection is not uniform in Germany, but regulated country-specifically.
