Expected surfaces Soil load 1: 50 000 (WMS Service)
Description
The more than 1000-year-old mining in the Harz Mountains led to considerable heavy metal loads in the soils of the river floodplains in parts of its foreland. The heavy metal loads are primarily the substances lead, cadmium, arsenic, copper and zinc.
On the basis of soil and geological area information as well as point information on soil pollution, the LBEG area has been identified in which increased heavy metal loads are expected.
