Urban refurbishment areas City of Bremen
Description
The Urban Remodeling West programme was first launched by the Federal Government in 2004 and lasted until 2019.
The reason was the demographic and economic structural change that began at the beginning of the 21st century, which continues to affect the situation of cities. Municipalities must face the urban consequences of population development and economic change – the programme supports them by providing financial subsidies to the federal government and the state.
